YFW is a youth, educational NGO that works with several foundations on a local and international level in frames
of non-formal education. Our target group is: young people from the IDP families & conflict regions, disadvantaged
youth, young leaders with social & economical obstacles, interested young people who has motivation for
intercultural learning, understanding & peace-building.
Since its establishment, YFW has organized a variety of international events (in the frames of diverse educational
programs) for/with young people from various cultural, religious & social backgrounds. Every year, YFW works
with/for over 100 young people with limited opportunities, engaging them in a variety of educational activities to
help them develop their personal & professional skills. YFW is also an open platform for young people to use all
organizational resources to create, plan & implement their own activities in collaboration with young people from
all across Europe & beyond. Following the success of many effective measures for local and international youth,
YFW experts and volunteers are regularly called to provide trainings and consultations for representatives of
nongovernmental and governmental organizations working in the field of "Youth." YFW collaborates with
international educational institutions on a regular basis to share innovative non-formal education methods and
approaches.
Aims

Training courses, seminars, youth exchanges, study visits, camps & conferences are among the main activities. YFW has extensive experience coaching, consulting & training youth, young leaders, youth workers & representatives of various civil society or governmental organizations in project management, organizational capacity building, international cooperation, high-quality youth work development, youth participation, intercultural learning, peace-

building & other relevant topics.

  • George Bukia
    Project Manager – CEO/Director of YFW
    Coordination and management of educational projects.
    Expert/advisor for several educational institutions.
    During his carrier he has arranged a large number of international youth initiatives in several European countries. In addition to directing the organization's whole growth process, he provides his important knowledge in organizing high-quality educational initiatives with YFW personnel and volunteers. George oversees the planning, execution, and reporting procedures for educational programs managed by him. With over 200 items on his work list and fifteen years of experience in youth work, he is well-­equipped to organize creative activities and create new initiatives for young people in Georgia, the Caucasus, and across Europe. George has wide experience related to peacebuilding, human rights, and inclusion. Besides organizational work, he provides educational advising for local
    municipalities and educational institutions.
  • Ann Bukia
    Expert / Trainer / Facilitator
    Anuna (Ann) Bukia is also documentary filmmaker author/lecturer from Sokhumi/Abkhazia, Georgia's occupied territory. Anuna’s family is a war survivor and victim of forced migration following the Russian military occupation of the area. She has spent many years advocating for the IDP rights through various channels and investigating many facets of conflict transformation, particularly the Georgian-­Abkhaz relationship and the current conflict with Russia. She is a practitioner who
    occasionally works on academic papers. Her MA study topic in 2012 was the function of new media in conflict transformation/resolution and she followed that up with the creation of "I Swam Enguri," a documentary film about conflict zones and people living in occupied territory, in 2016.
    The picture received positive reviews and was widely distributed. Following the release of the film, Anuna continued to give talks and seminars on the subject to a number of individuals of various ages throughout the Caucasus and EPC, as well as
    publishing essays and launching additional social art projects. Her most recent two publications dealt with youth involvement in conflict resolution and isolationism as a result of Russian policy in the seized areas. She teaches different players about
    conflict, communication and crisis, as well as human situations in conflict zones and other relevant issues and she works on good governance projects in remote municipalities. She assisted and
    trained young people on how to lobby for many concerns throughout the pandemic. She is researching youth participation, generational participation and activity and the impact of digital change on war zones in Georgia and the Caucasus.
    She's working on a project to collect vernacular images of people who have been internally displaced. working on a Ph.D. research topic proposal and hopes to keep working on her life-long study topic, which is the positive impact of technology and the digital society on conflict resolution.
  • Gvantsa Mezvrishvili
    Expert / Trainer / Facilitator
    Passionate trainer/Facilitator who believes in the power of people with 10 years of experience in youth work and more than 100 projects organized. Since 2014 used to be a professional trainer of personal development, self-branding, and team building activities, as well as actively working on how to use different environments for creating new experimental methodologies for
    better learning in non-­formal education. She has wide experience related to human rights and inclusion.
  • Irakli Tsulaia
    Trainer / Facilitator
    8 years of experience in working for young people in governmental and non-­governmental organizations as an educational advisor and project coordinator. He is providing educational opportunities(Creating tools) for young people and
    youth-­workers/educators in the field of non-formal education to engage in innovative learning.
    This involves exploring and sharing of diverse educational instruments, including simulations, outdoor activities, etc. Specifically, the method by which educational objectives can be transferred and implemented into a practice that actively
    involves modern participants in the learning process.
