YFW is a youth, educational NGO that works with several foundations on a local and international level in frames
of non-formal education. Our target group is: young people from the IDP families & conflict regions, disadvantaged
youth, young leaders with social & economical obstacles, interested young people who has motivation for
intercultural learning, understanding & peace-building.
Since its establishment, YFW has organized a variety of international events (in the frames of diverse educational
programs) for/with young people from various cultural, religious & social backgrounds. Every year, YFW works
with/for over 100 young people with limited opportunities, engaging them in a variety of educational activities to
help them develop their personal & professional skills. YFW is also an open platform for young people to use all
organizational resources to create, plan & implement their own activities in collaboration with young people from
all across Europe & beyond. Following the success of many effective measures for local and international youth,
YFW experts and volunteers are regularly called to provide trainings and consultations for representatives of
nongovernmental and governmental organizations working in the field of "Youth." YFW collaborates with
international educational institutions on a regular basis to share innovative non-formal education methods and
approaches.
Aims

• Promote Non-formal Education & empower youth for active participation and citizenship

• Raise awareness of young people for intercultural understanding, Peace & solidarity in Caucasus, Europe & beyond

• Promote Gender equality & tolerance

• Foster young people's skills & knowledge through education, by using experimental learning tools

• Improve the quality of life of young people through volunteering

• Encourage social entrepreneurship among young people for the sustainability of the community


Training courses, seminars, youth exchanges, study visits, camps & conferences are among the main activities. YFW has extensive experience coaching, consulting & training youth, young leaders, youth workers & representatives of various civil society or governmental organizations in project management, organizational capacity building, international cooperation, high-quality youth work development, youth participation, intercultural learning, peace-

building & other relevant topics.

  • George Bukia
    Project Manager – CEO/Director of YFW
    Coordination and management of educational projects.
    Expert/advisor for several educational institutions.
    During his carrier he has arranged a large number of international youth initiatives in several European countries. In addition to directing the organization's whole growth process, he provides his important knowledge in organizing high-quality educational initiatives with YFW personnel and volunteers. George oversees the planning, execution, and reporting procedures for educational programs managed by him. With over 200 items on his work list and fifteen years of experience in youth work, he is well-­equipped to organize creative activities and create new initiatives for young people in Georgia, the Caucasus, and across Europe. George has wide experience related to peacebuilding, human rights, and inclusion. Besides organizational work, he provides educational advising for local
    municipalities and educational institutions.
  • Mari Jabua
    Expert / Trainer / Facilitator
    Mari Jabua is passionate about youth work, facilitation, and creating meaningful learning experiences. She has been part of various international programs, where she developed skills in leadership, group facilitation, and cross-cultural communication. As a group leader, she has guided young people through engaging projects, fostering teamwork, personal growth, and open discussions in diverse environments. Her focus as a facilitator is on providing a safe and comfortable atmosphere where people feel appreciated and are willing to offer their insights. Mari relies on active listening and open questions to promote understanding and collaboration among youth. With her flexible approaches to different group demands, she guarantees every session will consider the impact of those involved, making them feel empowered.
  • Maia Gulaia
    Expert / Trainer / Facilitator
    Maia Gulaia is a lecturer and teacher with extensive experience in higher education, where she plays a key role in developing students' language proficiency and critical thinking skills. With 16 years of experience teaching English in both private and public schools, she has contributed significantly to students' academic success and personal growth.
    Actively engaged in both formal and non-formal education, Maia works to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical skills. She is passionate about fostering learning beyond traditional classrooms, ensuring young people are equipped for future challenges.
    As a trainer and facilitator, she leads workshops and training sessions focused on youth development, civic engagement, and skill-building.
    Committed to continuous growth, she actively participates in various training programs to enhance her professional skills and stay updated with the latest educational methods.
  • Ana Kochua
    Expert / Trainer / Facilitator
    Ana Kochua is a dedicated leader in community development, education, and human rights. She plays a key role in fostering youth and women's empowerment at the regional and national level, in Georgia overseeing strategic development, grants management, and advocacy efforts to ensure long-term impact and sustainability.
    With 15 years of experience in project management, she has successfully led initiatives focused on media literacy, good governance, and social inclusion. Her work emphasizes capacity-building, mentoring young leaders, and strengthening civic engagement. She has been instrumental in shaping policy strategies and developing grant methodologies, enhancing cooperation between public institutions and civil society.
    Actively involved in dialogue processes aimed at peacebuilding and reconciliation, she has contributed to initiatives fostering collaboration among diverse communities. As an accredited trainer in Disaster Risk Reduction and a certified social worker, she has led numerous educational programs, delivering training in gender studies, human rights, and media literacy. Her expertise in project management, election monitoring, and social policy development positions her as a key figure in advancing human rights and community development.
