NGO “Ukrainian Youth Councils Association” (UYCA) works at the all-Ukrainian level. It covers 24 regions (74 youth councils in June 2024), including regions that are partially under occupation (Donetsk Regional Youth Council, Luhansk Regional Youth Council, Kherson Regional Youth Council).
UYCA was established on September 12, 2020, 39 youth councils from 20 regions of the country became an environment exchange of experience, development, and implementation of new tools for activities of youth councils, the provision of consultations, creation program and products for youth councils.
The purpose of the Association is to accompany and support the activities of youth councils, as well as the creation of new youth councils, to increase participation in the process of making socially important decisions in the field of youth.
We promote the interests of young people in various spheres of policies. Separate areas of activity of the Association are youth networking, youth councils, public organizations; advocacy, project management and fundraising, international partnership, media, training, culture, education and digitalization, information, and communications.

  • Yulia Aleksieienko
    Facilitator
    Among her work experience, she works as a facilitator, mentor, coach, and youth worker, head of the department of networking of youth councils of Ukraine in the UYCA.
    As a facilitator and mentor, she sent youth participation in decision-making processes to build dialogue and interaction between youth and government within national programs for youth in Ukraine.
    Working as a youth worker at the Bila Tserkva Youth Center, she contributed to strengthening the cooperation of youth, government, and civil society institutions, and coordinated national and regional projects within the partnership with "UNITY" and others.
    The experience of a coach in the vector of cybersecurity and media literacy, youth and youth centers, and building partnerships between local governments and youth.

With a strong background in designing and delivering youth programs and projects, I have developed the skills necessary to facilitate engaging and impactful experiences that support young people in reaching their potential.
    As a trainer on youth participation in decision-making, I am dedicated to equipping young people with the skills and knowledge they need to become effective advocates for their own needs and the needs of their peers. I believe that by empowering young people to participate in decision-making processes, we can create more inclusive and equitable societies that value the voices and perspectives of all individuals.
